Australian Weather

Australian weather varies significantly from state to state. Seasonal temperature changes range from highs of 50 degrees Celsius to lows of sub-zero temperatures depending on where you are.

The weather extremes are from the desert to the tropical and sub-tropical to the temperate weather. Australia experiences climate extremes such as cyclones, drought, floods, snow and heat waves.

In some places the weather changes rapidly and people often say ‘if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes and it will change’.
